Workflows

online workflow 1:  Mixing
This workflow involves exclusively the mixing process which is included in workflows 2 and 3. As soon as you send us the required files and information we start setting things up. We will equalize, edit, sweeten your tracks and arrange them in stems (pre-mixes). We will then mix down to the requested output format. That can be anything from conventional stereo up to 5.1, 7.1 for DCP en all 3d/360 audio formats including Ambisonics, binaural, Dolby Atmos en MPEG-H. Television programs will be mixed according to the EBU R128 or ATSC A/85 loudness norm. For projects destined for the "big screen" the multi-channel stems will be preserved as pre-mixes and rerecording will take place at a fully approved theater mixing stage (Dolby certified). Whether cinema or television, documentary or commercial, target is at all times a solid and dynamic mix that translates well into the specific medium and faithfully represents the style of your production. When the mixing process is finished you can download the final mix(es) by logging into your FTP user account. Depending on deadlines we will be happy to provide you along the way with temporary draft mixes.

The

When the process of sound design is completed, mixing takes place as described in workflow 1.

online workflow 3:  Sound Design and Mixing (picture in pre-production)  
This workflow is actually workflow 2 but with one notable difference. Here you choose to contact us at the pre-production, script stage of your film/documentary project. We start designing the soundtrack right out of the unfilmed script. This fresh approach of the storyline leaves more space open for creativity. Storyline moments or scene changes with significant potential for interaction between sound and picture can be picked up at this stage and taken into account later on during shooting or picture editing. Summing up, by choosing this workflow our contribution to the project starts from the very beginning, ensuring maximum consistency between storyline and soundtrack. Again here, after the sound design process is completed mixing takes place as described above in online workflow 1.

online workflow 4:  Sound Design only
The difference here is that the sound design process is not followed by the mixing process. At the end of this workflow you will receive the undipped versions of the stems (atmospheres, SFX, foley, BG's etc). Those can be further processed by the post production facility or final mixing stage of your choice.
